Investing in Your Well-Being

Welcome to the section dedicated to providing clarity on my clinical fees. I understand the importance of transparency and trust in the therapeutic process, including financial aspects. My commitment is to ensure that you have a clear understanding of my fees and any associated policies, allowing you to make informed decisions about your mental health care. If you have any questions or require further clarification about my fees, please don't hesitate to reach out to me.

CLINICAL FEES

  • Initial Phone Consultation (15 min) = Free
  • Intake/Initial Assessment (55 min; CPT Code 90791) = $300
  • Individual Therapy (55 min; CPT Code 90837) = $225
  • Consultation Services (55 min) = $225
  • No shows or late cancellations = $120**
  • Forensic Services (60 min) = $675^^

**Important Reminder: In the event that you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, I kindly request a minimum of 48 hours advanced notice for cancellations or changes. Failure to provide sufficient notice will result in a $120 charge for the missed appointment. It's important to note that insurance companies do not cover the cost of missed appointments. Your understanding and adherence to this policy are greatly appreciated.

^^Forensic services typically involve providing psychological expertise in legal matters. This may encompass assessments, evaluations, or consultations related to court cases, legal disputes, or other legal proceedings. While I generally do not specialize in forensic cases, if involvement in such matters becomes necessary, a fee of $675 per hour would apply.

Accepted Insurance Plans

I am pleased to be in network with the following insurance plans:

  1. Aetna
  2. Allied Benefits Systems
  3. Cigna/Evernorth
  4. Humana
  5. Meritain
  6. Nippon Life Benefits

Please be aware that I do not participate in any Medi-Cal or Medicaid plans, regardless of whether they are managed by another insurance provider, such as Aetna or Cigna. Additionally, I don't accept any new clients with Medicare or Tricare insurance, as these plans are being phased out.

Thank you for your understanding. If you have any questions or concerns regarding insurance coverage, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Health Insurance Benefits

USING YOUR INSURANCE COVERAGE

To utilize your insurance benefits for therapy sessions, kindly reach out to your health insurance company before scheduling your initial appointment to confirm your coverage. Locate your insurance contact information on your insurance card. When inquiring, please seek information on:

  1. The insurance company responsible for your behavioral health benefits, as it may differ from your primary insurance provider.
  2. Your deductible, the out-of-pocket amount before your health insurance begins coverage.
  3. Your copay per visit, the amount not covered by insurance, required for each appointment.

Please note that not all benefit plans encompass Telehealth Services. Confirm the eligibility of Behavioral Health Televideo Services with your insurance provider.

for out of network clients

For clients with insurance plans that I do not directly accept, I offer the convenience of providing a monthly "super bill." This document includes all the necessary information for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. While I do not directly handle insurance billing for these plans, the super bill simplifies the reimbursement process, allowing you to seek financial coverage through your insurance provider. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or require further assistance regarding this process.

Good faith estimate

Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises

IVY pay

CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD PAYMENT OPTIONS

I utilize an app called Ivy Pay to facilitate payment for your therapy sessions, offering the convenience of accepting major debit, credit, HSA, or FSA cards, such as Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, and American Express.

Following your initial therapy session, Ivy Pay will send you a text message, streamlining the process for effortlessly adding your preferred card to file. This user-friendly feature enhances the overall payment experience, ensuring a seamless and secure transaction for your ongoing sessions.
