Neil Armstrong
As a dedicated researcher and psychologist, I am passionate about exploring the complexities of trauma, dissociation, and their impact on individuals’ mental health and well-being. Through years of rigorous study and clinical experience, I have examined many facets of trauma psychology, with a particular focus on understanding the unique experiences of deaf adults.
My research articles, published in peer-reviewed journals, offer valuable insights into the psychological effects of trauma within the deaf community. These publications explore topics such as information deprivation trauma, the consequences of childhood and adult sexual trauma among deaf individuals, psychoform and somatoform dissociation in PTSD, trauma exposure and symptoms, and the unique barriers deaf individuals may face when accessing mental health care.

Through both my research and my clinical practice, I remain deeply committed to promoting awareness, understanding, and effective trauma-informed interventions for individuals impacted by trauma, particularly within the deaf community.
